Celery:
Here are a few tips on growing Celery successfully: The best position is where it gets up to 6 hours of direct sun in the morning. It needs a lot of nutrients and therefore a monthly feed with organic fertilizer is essential. Make sure to keep the soil evenly moist and do not forget to water them. Celery cannot tolerate drought of any kind. If the ground is not kept consistently moist, it will negatively affect the taste of the celery. Add a mulch of organic material around the plants to retain moisture.

Biodynamic Gardening is a lovely way of explaining the interaction between you and your garden, becoming aware of the changes that take place around us as the season progress and the garden moves through the cycle of life. It is more than just organic gardening; it also takes into account the most optimum times to do certain activities according to the phases of the Moon. This is now a regular feature to make your gardening easier and more successful.

Three great reasons to do Biodynamic Gardening:

  1. High Quality Seasonal Produce: Taste your own home grown veggies and compare it against a store bought product – you make the call.
  2. Personal contribution: You become part of an ever growing global community that knows that their efforts are contributing to a healthier planet.
  3. Reduce your Carbon Footprint: Home grown is not flown in from anywhere – you can not get food grown closer to you than your own backyard, reducing the unnecessary waste of fossil fuel.
